Ernst and Young Alumni Survey reveals success of Irish entrepreneurs

ErnstAndYoungLogo large Thumbnail0It is reported in todays Irish Examiner that a new survey has found that many entrepreneurs have had huge success here in the past year, despite Ireland's economic woes.

The Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Alumni Survey shows that nearly 13,000 jobs were created by people setting up their own business in the 2012.

The study also found that 75% of respondents increased employment, with businesses generating in excess of €15bn in revenue.

Frank O'Keeffe of Ernst and Young is confident business will continue to grow for Irish entrepreneurs in 2013.

"Well, I think next year, like this year, is tough for pretty much everybody," he said.

"But the Irish entrepreneur will continue to be very innovative, develop new ideas, new products, see where niche markets are, and really go and try to expand their businesses.
