(IWI) Negotiate Long-Term Lease with Legal Aid Board to set up offices in Bray Civic Centre

Ireland World Investments (IWI) have negotiated a long term lease with the Legal Aid Board to lease offices in Block D Bray, Civic Centre, Co Wicklow. Richard Coffey Managing Partner stated that (IWI) successfully acquired Block D, Bray Civic Centre, Co Wicklow for private clients in an off market deal with Evans Randall, a privately held investment banking and private equity group, in a transaction that is believed to be in excess of €10m in July 2014

Bray Civic Centre is a mixed use development situated in the centre of County Wicklow’s largest town within the Dublin metropolitan area. Situated just off the Main Street in Bray, Bray Civic Centre is just 10 minutes walk from the DART Station. The DART travels to the City Centre every 10 minutes at peak times, with regular services between 6am and midnight. For vehicular access, the development is close to the N11 and the southern extension of the M50 Motorway

The Legal Aid Board is an independent, publicly funded organisation. It has been in existence since 1979 and was set up as a statutory body on foot of the Civil Legal Aid Act 1995.

The Board's Mission Statement, set out in its Corporate Plan 2012 – 2014, is "Our mission is to provide a professional, efficient, cost-effective and accessible legal aid and mediation service in accordance with the terms of our statutory mandate". The Corporate Plan sets out a number of steps that the Board has adopted in order to achieve the objective set out in its Mission Statement.

The Board itself consists of a chairperson and twelve ordinary members. They are appointed by the Minister for Justice and Equality and have a five-year term of office. The Board has an executive management structure primarily located at its Head Office at Quay St, Cahirciveen, Co Kerry and also at an office at 47 Upper Mount St, Dublin 2.

The Board has thirty-three full time law centers located throughout the country, as well as the Private Practitioner Service, the Refugee Documentation Centre and a library service located at Montague Court, 7/11 Montague Street, Dublin 2.

The Board’s Criminal Legal Aid Section is located in its Mount Street Head Office in Dublin 2 and that Section retains the responsibility for the management and administration of the following:
