IWI welcome Omniplex to Monaghan Retail Park

Monaghan Omniplex, a new five-screen state of the art cinema, will open its doors to the public at 2pm on Friday December 16th. Located in Monaghan Retail Park on the Clones Road the cinema has five screens and will employ between 16 and 20 people in the complex.

Omniplex Cinemas set up in 1991 and operated by Paul Anderson operates cinemas throughout Ireland and Northern Ireland. The cinema group has started a multi million investment and renovation programme in a number of its cinemas including the rolling out across Ireland of its large screen format OmniplexMAXX.

Ireland World Investments (IWI) acquired Monaghan Retail Park in 2015. The Retail Park situated on the Clones Road in Monaghan town comprises a modern park with 10 self-contained retail units. Occupiers trading in the park include Next, Argos and KFC and Richard Coffey Managing Partner stated that the new Omniplex will be of huge benefit not only to the retail park but both to the town and county of Monaghan in general.

There are currently 5 available units which ranging in size from 458 sq m – 3,484 sq m. The park provides easy access to and from the town centre and has ample free surface car parking.

Monaghan town is strategically located at the intersection of the N2 Dublin - Derry/Letterkenny and N54 National Routes, linking Dublin to the North-West and Belfast to the Midlands, respectively. It is situated approximately 3km north east of Cavan Town, 93km south west of Belfast and 130km north west of Dublin.
