Ireland World Investments (IWI) has negotiated a long-term 20-year lease with the KWETB to lease Block E Bray, Civic Centre, Co Wicklow. Block E with a gross floor area of 2195 sqm forms part of Bray Civic Centre (‘BCC’), a cluster of modern buildings off Main Street in Bray which house the Courts Services, Dept. of Social Protection, Mermaid Theatre, OPW, HSE Area Office along with ancillary cafes.

Mr. Richard Coffey Managing Partner stated that (IWI) acquired the building in 2015 from NAMA and further stated that the new negotiated lease with the KWETB was subject to a change of use in planning from Office to Educational in order to facilitate the new facility

The Planning application for change of use was submitted to Wicklow County Council in December 2015 and received a successful grant from the local authority in April 2016.

This decision by the local authority was appealed by local residents to An Bord Pleanala in May 2016 however the decision was upheld and received a full grant of planning from the Bord in September 2016
